Frequency Asked Questions

​Is this free?

Short answer - no. All our experts are seasoned professionals and work at reputed companies - and they deserve to be fairly compensated for their knowledge and experience 🙂

What’s the reschedule policy?

First Rescheduling is free, until 24h prior to the session time. Prior to that, each rescheduling will cost USD 25.

How are sessions conducted?

Our sessions are currently conducted over Zoom. Once the session is scheduled and confirmed, you'll receive a calendar invite with a conference link. The link will be shared with both the candidate and the expert. We recommend audio calling (and screen sharing where necessary, of course) to protect the privacy of the candidate as well as the expert, and use of video only if absolutely necessary and mutually agreed. I'd like to book multiple sessions. Can I get a discount?

Yes. The discount depends on how many sessions you book, and the role for which you are interviewing. Here's an estimation: 5-7 sessions booked together: 10% off 8-10 sessions booked together: 15% off 11+ sessions booked together: 20% off Important considerations Sessions booked can be used across 1 year. However, they must be invoiced together i.e. paid in one go.

My expert hasn't joined the session.

This happens super rarely (usually an expert facing some sort of emergency); but we know that doesn't make it any easier to bear. So, wait for 10min and if they still don't show up, whatsapp us at +91 9326758193. We will reschedule a session for you.

What if I did not find the session with the expert useful?

First off, we apologize for your negative experience. Email us at info@edvanceskill.com right after the interview. If you provide specifics of what went wrong within 24 hours of the session, and it's clear that your expert failed in delivering upon any realistic expectations you might have requested for your mock interview experience, we will offer you a refund of value.

When do I need to pay for the session?

We collect payment at the time of scheduling, so that we can guarantee it for our experts. Therefore, the due date is always prior to a session, and if payment is not received by then, the session will be cancelled.

How can I verify an expert’s identity?

We do this at our end. Just as we are committed to protect your privacy, we also protect our experts’ - and therefore we only share an anonymized profile and relevant experience with you once your session is booked.

Will I know the profile of the expert who’ll take my session?

Yes, we do share an anonymized profile of your expert, along with the sections of their experience which are relevant for your request. However, personal details are not revealed in order to protect their privacy.

How’s my privacy protected?

Privacy is super important to us - we go the extra mile to protect it so you feel safe. All your data is protected. Our website is completely secure. If you use a product involving experts, we give you the option to share your resume so they can customize their advice to your background/ context. Experts know that they need to keep this confidential. However, this is optional; if you don't want to share it, the system still works. Finally - we recommend practice interviews be done over audio. That adds one additional level of privacy too.
